Hanauma Bay is the romantic location of Elvis Presley beach boy days in the film Blue Hawaii. John Wayne and Lee Marvin's film Donovan's Reef was also filmed at Hanauma Bay.
Elvis Presley's seventh film was the first of his "Hawaii trilogy" (including Girls! Girls! Girls! and Paradise, Hawaiian Style). While its story is daft--the King has just been released from his Army posting in Italy and returned to the islands, where he's trying to avoid working in his father's fruit business--the music is not: "Blue Hawaii," "Almost Always True," and the beautiful "Can't Help Falling in Love." Angela Lansbury plays Elvis's mother, who can't seem to get through to him. Directed by the star's frequent collaborator, Norman Taurog (G.I. Blues). --Tom Keogh --This text refers to the VHS Tape edition.61) on DVD or VHS.Blue Hawaii (available on VHS or DVD) 1961
Night and you
And blue Hawaii
The night is heavenly
And you are heaven to me
Lovely you
And blue Hawaii
With all this loveliness
There should be love
Come with me
While the moon is on the sea,
The night is young
And so are we, so are we
Dreams come true
In blue Hawaii
And mine could all come true
This magic night of nights with you

BLUE CRUSH
Life for Anne Marie (Kate Bosworth) has been one long Pipe dream. She’s about to make that dream a reality if she can keep from drowning in her own fear. As the clock ticks down to the Pipe Masters surf competition on the North Shore of Oahu, more is at stake for Anne Marie than the pressure of competing in one of the world’s most dangerous, aggressive and male-dominated sports. She must first win a dreaded contest within. Sharing a beach shack with her best friends Eden (Michelle Rodriguez)and Lena (Sanoe Lake) and rebellious younger sister Penny (Mika Boorem), Anne Marie lives for the adrenaline-charged surf scene, rising before dawn every day to charge the Pipeline’s deadly waves. The friends eke out a living as maides in a luxury resort hotel. The humble job pays the bills and lets them keep their focus on the water. But things change when a pro football team with slovenly habits and fat wallets checks in. Like it or not, Anne Marie starts loosing her balance and finding it as she falls for quarterback Matt Tollman (Matthew Davis). Suddenly there are options: trophy wife or trophy winner? But there’s really only one choice for someone like Anne Marie. Matt knows it, too that’s why he likes her. And when Annie faces a paralyzing moment of truth on the biggest day of her life, Matt is there along with Lena, Eden and Penny, to help her remember why the goal that has driven her for so long matters so much.
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star together for the first time since The Wedding Singer in one of the funniest romantic comedies in years. Henry (Sandler) lives an enviable life in a Hawaiian paradise, spending every night with a beautiful tourist in search of an island fling. It's a sweet life with no strings attached...until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). He and Lucy hit it off from the get-go, but the next day she acts like she doesn't know him. Has his karma come around to kick him in the butt or what? Actually, Lucy has short-term memory loss so every night all memory of her day is erased. But a man in love will go to any lengths to win over the girl of his dreams, and if that means having to find imaginative ways of doing it over again every day, then Henry's up for the challenge. Rob Schneider (Big Daddy) and Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) co-star in 50 First Dates, which will win you over every time you watch it!
Lilo is a 5 year old Hawaiian girl who's quite peculiar: she has an off beat take on life and is a little obsessed about taking care of downtrodden animals. for example, she collects cans and bottles to recycle from the beach and buys fish food with the money she makes, then paddles out in the ocean to feed the fish there. Meanwhile, on a distant planet, alien authorities have captured the most dangerous of all criminals and are sending him via rocket to a prison planet. This is stitch.
